The idea

Keeping a home clean isn't really about scrubbing — it's about remembering. What's due, how often, which appliance hasn't been touched in months, whose turn it is. That invisible mental load tends to land on one person, and it's exhausting.

elbow exists to carry that load for you. Tell it about your home once, and it keeps time: surfacing the right cleaning tasks when they're actually due, walking you through appliance care step by step, and helping the whole household see the same picture. No guilt, no endless catch-up — just a short, doable plan each day.

How we think about it

We think good software should feel calm. elbow is deliberately quiet: no accounts to make, no data harvested, no dark patterns nudging you to do more than you need. Your home is yours — the app just helps you stay on top of it.

That's also why everything lives in your own iCloud rather than on our servers. It's better for your privacy, and honestly, it's how we'd want our own home data handled.

Who makes it

elbow is built by Aga Drapinska-Tonge, an independent developer based in Manchester. It's made by one person who cares a lot about the details, which means your feedback genuinely shapes where it goes next.
